Re: Diy fuel system ?'s

I've been on for about two hours looking up all the Diy fuel systems. All I have found is half the story and obs write ups. Does anyone have one for a 99 to 03 write up or is it all the same? I have time to build so I am just looking for the best prices. Who has the best set up and/or what would you have done different?

ebpv delete, 4" down pipe, 6" single stack, dp tuner, edge evo for gauges, 6637 intake, exhuast and ebpv delete done by me. pacemaker\defib with high performance tune.

That said try a search in the 7.3 perf section on fuel systems
Look for maintain or marty's can't remember whose but he had a good dual stocker with pics.
He has a zillion posts so hard to remember which one without the search.

But be careful about the filter bases and filters one guy already burned up a new fuel lab.
Butbelieve it or not itp,di and dieselsite kits are not far off for a complete system,
Unless you have access to free stuff.

There was a good post a few weeks ago but too hard to search off my phone..

Marty's diy twin pump is here. Maintain's Install Info..lots of good stuff here!! - Powerstroke Nation

It was me that burned up the fuelab, but turns out it had nothing to do with the filtration. That link is Diy napa fuel system. need answers ASAP - Powerstroke Nation

Regardless, and no offense Marty, it appears the pre pump filter may be too restrictive.

03 E-350 7.3, forged rods, exhaust ported heads, comp 910's, 38R/47, 4.10LS, stealth twin pumps, 300cc hybrids from Swamps, h-11's, racerx trans and TC, Swamps tunes, water...

Re: Diy fuel system ?'s

Aaron had an issue with his Fuelab.

Rip, which filter was too restrictive? The Fuel/Water seperator flows over 700 GPH. Fuelab tried telling Aaron that same thing, but why is it not an issue at all for the A-1000, stock pump, stock pumps or the walbro?

Re: Diy fuel system ?'s

I think he is referring to what Fuellabs told him and he posted in that other thread

Why would a pump care about how fine the filter filters down to? I would think all that would matter is how much that filter flows. There are way to many things that effect flow at given particle filtering levels to limit based on particle size. Different media, filter design, size, all effect it. What I think would put the strain on the pump is flow lower than the pump needs to flow. Take the NAPA 3418 water fuel sep it flows 12-15 GPM that is up to 900 GPH it filters down to 12 mics. Then you have the DAHL 150 it flows 100 GPH. It filters down to 2 mics. Even the last woudl flow enough for most engines needs.
