Hypertech Power Programmer III

Does anybody know if anyone can reprogram these tuners. Purchased one from a guy off craigslist, and it wasn't returned to stock. Now the bit*h wont answer his phone and I cant get and address from the info I have. Its in the original box and looks brand new. It would be ashamed to let it go to waste.

Re: Hypertech Power Programmer III

Call hypertech or toss it and get a custom tune. I have 0ne on the shelf and will never use it again. I love my dptuner.

If you really want to use it I think hepertech can fix the problem.

Are you saying it has another stock tune stored in it?

Use the Hypertech for a code reader, and buy a good custom chip from one of the sponsors.

Re: Hypertech Power Programmer III

Well it was worth a try. I figure I will buy from a sponsor as soon as I can come up with the money. I found a DpTuner I believe it is a F5 behind the glove box this weekend but don't know where to hook it up or if it will work. Any suggestions on the DP?

Re: Hypertech Power Programmer III

The dp plugs into the back of the pcm. If you don't know if it's for that truck I would send it in to Jody and have him put in the tunes you want and get instructions on installation. That's a good tuner I have one and use my old hypertech for reading codes.

Take a pic of what you think is the DP Tuner. And if it really is one sell it and get a good custom chip from one of the wonderful tuners here or send it to Jody and get new tunes put on it.

But I wouldn't just hook it up.

I would recommend following those suggestions.
