improved filtration yes definitly depending on what filter it is, as for adding hp if you find someone that says a filter will add anything but good filtered oil and fuel;

go find someone else to talk to. i run motorcraft oil filters and i think they are rated at 2 or 3 micron not shure on that, will have to look.

No such thing as a fuel or oil filter that will add HP and Torque. Improved filtration sure but no hp increase

Motocraft is made by Purolater and is 20 Micron. Most filters are 20 Micron but the MFGs use efficiency ratings to hide the poor results.

Re: gain power from fuel and oil filters??

i thought purolater was a house brand for one of the many parts house's out there. and i think my filter is a lil more south of 20mic but i havent read the box in a while so i dont really remember.

i have never heard of motorcraft being made by purolater.

and i have seen good results with the motorcraft oil filters.

Re: gain power from fuel and oil filters??

You would be surprised at how few filter manufacturers there really are. They just slap a bunch of different names on them.

I am partial to WIX.

I use Wix also and feel they are better than OE. Was told a Mobil 1 Oil filter was better though.
