Time to get swamped?

Anybody have any experience with the 200/30% hybrid single shot injector from swamps? I was thinking about getting stage 1 or stage 2 single shots and after searching through the forum, it seems that most people wish they had gone bigger. The 238/80% is a little more than I want but this seems about perfect. What do you guys think? I would like to have at least 400 rwhp that can still tow.

Re: Time to get swamped?

they are a nice injector to run. Low smoke, nice power, better mileage than stockers.

02-350. CCSB - Drivetrain by Stauffer, fuel by Swamps, air by Barder, tunes by Gearhead.
04-250. ECSB - In the shop...7.3 swap.

Go ahead and get the 238/80%. You will still be able to tow just fine. Well, up to about 22K at least.

Re: Time to get swamped?

You can always tune down the injector for towing. The 238's should be real easy to tame. And the 238's would leave some room to grow from 400 hp. Give them a call at Swamps they will take care of you. They're really good guys to work with.

What turbo do you have? I know I have to get a turbo but I don`t want to go so big that I need head studs and a bunch of other mods. That is really why I don`t want 238/80%. I`m not trying to build a race truck. Me and my boys are putting together a 1956 buick gasser so I`ve got that covered!

You should be fine with 238/80's with a turbo upgrade down the road. Just use some common since with your E99 turbo and it will live awhile. Give the guys at Swamps a call, they won't steer your the wrong way.

Re: Time to get swamped?

I think you will be happy with the 200's. No hpop upgrade will be neccessary. Will not need other supporting mods to run at an optimum level. I don't think it will eat your turbo if you drive responsibly. You could always throw a larger exhaust housing on it and it will live life a little easier.

I think you will be looking at your egts a lot more with the 238's than you would be with the 200's.
