Re: need a turbo????

Save up till you can pick up a 38R. Just stay with your stocker until then. Unless you can get something for free why waste money on something that will just come off later. The 38R from all accounts is the next logical setup from stock with those injectors. I think its safe to say Matt is giving you the best advice. Things you can do in the interm that will help: Adrenaline HPOP, Reg Return, 6.0 trans cooler, fix anything that can possibly need fixing(leaking up pipes, boots etc..) If you are going to go with a BTS tranny build lat a later date you can get the valve body now which will help the tranny and you will get credit for it when you have the rebuild. I am sure the more knowledgeable people will come along and I certainly defer to them.

Re: need a turbo????

Not sure if any are left but dieselsite had less then 10 units .
They were 1500 clams...seems like a good price to me.
Just try and keep boost from going over 28lb untill you can get a turbo.

Re: need a turbo????

Do you ever have plans of going bigger or wanting more power than the 238's are going to give you. Cause if you are than the 38r will be over worked. The 238's are going to be all that it can efficiently handle. And as said don't buy something just to get you bye. Just wait till you can get what you want. Good luck.

What good would a wicked wheel do for his situation. I hav'nt seen that posted in here yet. That's a cheepy. It won't give you any more boost or power but it will help spooling, response, and surging.

Re: need a turbo????

And im sure Matt took care of the fact that you have PMR's with his tuning. Remember to be careful with those. You don't want to get too overboard with mod's before you put those into consideration.
