Re: looking to shave weight

You could take the cab off, put a regular cab in place, and shorten the frame. I am guessing you have never held a glow plug? I eat more weight for lunch then 8 of them together. Swaybars are really minimal aswell. Basically you strip the interior of chairs, seats, consoles, take the tailgate off. All the creature comforts.

DRW and tow fast parts.......

If you took the engine and transmission out plus all 4 tires it would be pretty light.

That was mentioned in the post before mine. I didn't want to duplicate anything.

To be honest, if you're looking for a light truck, you picked the worst one possible. A diesel crew cab is heavy and just does not have much you can take off to lighten it.
