Fire rings Please help!!!

ok guys looking for options. I dont know if the cometics are going to seal. so who is running Fire Rings? I talked to a few people and they clam fire rings hold well over 100lbs of boost. I wont be running anything near that but Im just looking for options. One of the main reasons i like cometics is if it goes You can still limp the truck home. If the fire rings go you are stuck!!!

If the machine work and installation is done correctly, you'll never have a problem.

Have you had a problem with the Cometics? Or just worried about the what if? As long as your block and heads were prepped correctly than I don't think your going to have a problem with them.

Re: Fire rings Please help!!!

His Block and Heads are perfect but he did have a problem with the Cometics... He's in the same boat that I was a few months ago. Only he's only blown one and I blew three, all within 1,000 miles of each other. I am having doubts that mine was actually an imperfection in the block, but something else. I can't pinpoint it, but I feel for you because it is a hard desicion to make. It took me a month of back and forth before I figured out what my next step was. According to others, Randy's block and heads look like pure sex, but there is some reason that the gasket failed... that has yet to be determined as far as I know. Its in good hands, but I think I'd fire ring it and never look back. I know where there is a plate and a cutter if it needs to make its way to Tennessee...
