Normal pressure??

I am a little concerned as to why my boost pressures are higher than what others are running with a stock turbo. I got an AIS intake and 4 in exhaust with a BTS trans and Cale's tunes. At 65 I am running about 600 egt and 5-6 psi boost which is higher than what I was running a few months ago. Is this normal or should I be looking for a bearing or a dragging brake?

Re: Normal pressure??

If it was a dragging brake I woudl think you should notice a good hit to your mileage. Everything about the same there? Did you change anything between then and now? I assume you had the listed upgrades before as well.

Re: Normal pressure??

The boost sounds a little high maybe but the egts look good for 65mph.

Depends on your gearing. Mine does a few pounds somewhere around there speed wise.

Re: Normal pressure??

Back before I had the transmission done I was averaging 14-15 city driving during the summer months. After I had the trans done I had Cale load some different tunes and I continued my move with a 17,000 trailer. With the winter diesel I have dropped down to 10-11. My EGT as far as I know have not increased but my boost numbers are about 3 psi higher than usual. Cold weather maybe? Maybe my wife is right and I am too "sensitive".

Re: Normal pressure??

I run an 80hp econo tune from Cale. I don't floor it all the time 2000 is about what it runs when accelerating and highway driving.

Re: Normal pressure??

What gears do you have?
2000 sounds a little high for 60-65mph unless you have 4.10's or something like that
