Chip and Tuner on a 7.3

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm still leaening on these powerstrokes. I have always had cummins before and know the ins and outs but I just currently bought a 2002 powerstroke off of my father. It already has a superchip on it and I'm getting ready to buy a TS 6 position chip because it seems to be one of the best from what I have read. My question is, can I run the superchip and TS or will they not work together?

Thanks in advance guys

Re: Chip and Tuner on a 7.3

as far as the TS chip being the best thing out there... i have to disagree.... the best would be custom tunes... there are various diff tuners and all are pretty good like TW, PHP, and DP... we sell the TW custom tuned chips but you cant go wrong with the PHP or DP.... if you have any questions please feel free to ask

Re: Chip and Tuner on a 7.3

Like said above if you are going to go the TS Chip way like I suggest also get someone elses tuning on it. The stock tuning on a TS chip is VERY generic and not the best out there. I suggest Matt at Gearhead out of the tuners I have ran i like his tuning the best. But there are many other great tuners here. Here is a list.

Matt at Gearhead Automotive
Bill at PHP
Johnathan at Swamps
David at DI
Aggie at TSD
TW at TDP

and there are more and all great tuners for the TS Chip

1999.5 F-250 7.3l 4x4 6 spd Ported Heads, Head studs, valve springs, DI Push Rods, DI RR, 38R, Walbro fuel pump, 238cc Injectors from Nate @ Unlimited Diesel and Tuned by Matt @ Gearhead Automotive

Re: Chip and Tuner on a 7.3

I'm just lokking for the best bang for my buck. Its a daily driver and occasional towing. Its not never going to be a race truck or a puller but I want it to run strong. My last 2 dodges have been about 500 hp dailt drivers but I know its not going to be as easy to do with this truck so I just want to get the most I can with simple mods (chip intake and exhaust and maybe turbo sometime next year)

Thanks for the advice guys and any more info would be great

Re: Chip and Tuner on a 7.3

See who can do live tuning for you; I know Jody at DP Tuner, Tony at Total Diesel Performance, Bill at PHP do, but I don't know about the others. I'm sure others do it as well, I just don't know who, but see Big Stroker's post (#7 above) and call around. I'm going with a DP soon... my little Christmas present to myself, ya know! I'm waiting for live tuning until I get my Stage I injectors & 38R turbo.
