DP Tuner installed What a difference

Will I got the truck in july with only the lift wheel and tires. I have been waiting and just reading theese forums to get ideas on what to do. Every local shop in my area wanted to sell me an Edge product. Now Im not saying they are bad I just knew by reading on her there was better stuff for our trucks. Had the chance to ride in a DP tuned truck about a month ago and it was crazy that our trucks could do drive like it did. So started with the exhaust then gauges, and finaly the chip. All I can say is WOW I am glad I waited. What a difference. I can't believe the power difference and responsiveness. Makes me want to drive my truck every day. Can't wait to tow with the added power. I got the F6 with 80T, 80E,and 120 Race for now. I have learned so much from this forum, and others so thank you to the others who have answered all my questions

Congrats, you can say they are bad if you want. I started with Banks (yea flame on) and went to DP there was a huge difference. It is nice to have a tune that actually controls the whole truck. And not just the engine.

good luck getting that grin off your face.

once you start towing keep an eye out for turbo surge , a wickedwheel from dieselsite.com or a similar product from another vendor usually cures that.
there are other cures, like ported housings turbos etc, but they cost way more.
just my 2 cent

Early 99 f350 4x4 crew cab, auto. pmt2 pcm
2001 cup holder ,T500, MAX AC ASSIST AC mod, Diy Twin tymar, TS chip, Powerslots & Hawk pads, ford AIC, ..... with big fat want to list.

+1 on the surge. Mine would do it unloaded on a hill. WW is a simple install aswell.

Re: DP Tuner installed What a difference

Congrats on the upgrade. I went from Edge to DP and it was amazing. My truck surged alot as well and I put a WW in it and it just about eliminated the surging all together. A good investment for $50

Re: DP Tuner installed What a difference

where did you find one for $50? I do get surge in 120 race. Yea I have 2 friends with 2001 PSD one with a lot of money in Banks and the other with Edge mine is so much more responsive. They were both blown away, and so was I that there was that big a difference. Makes me want to drive my truck everyday.
