Will a dp f5 chip from a early 99 work in other year 7.3s?

Yes, but it will need to be reprogrammed to match your PCM code.

How does that work cause when I ordered the chip jody never asked for any of that? Did not give him vin or anything.

I'm not sure man, everytime I've heard of any body ordering a chip they needed the pcm code.

You will have to re-program it. Early 99 is diferent than a late one and so on...

Most chips will work from 99.5 to 01, and from 02-03... A chip from a 01 MAY work on a 2002-2003, but some functions will not work properly

Best bet is to tune to the PCM family you have...

E99 is a beast into its own.

Swap your PCM out for a PMT and you will be much happier!
