AIH DELETE

Alright I have been looking every where for this and I can not find it so I thought that I would throw up a thread on the topic. You know how you can delete the AIH I have heard somewhere that you can use a dodge drain plug but I can not remember what size the plug is (22mm I think) or what year dodge truck to look for \

Thanks any help would be nice

Re: AIH DELETE

Yeah. Oil drain. You'll be able to tell the diff. I bought the wrong one the first time. The right one is big around and shallow.

You can cheap out like i did, take out the AIH chop off the end and screw it back in. Pull out all assosiated wiring accordingly.

Re: AIH DELETE

22mm x 1.5 + washer 5.9 oil pan plug: Car Quest, Napa, Advanced, etc... usually have them hanging on the wall racks with other generic quick fix parts. You may need to ask if you do not see them. I like the standard flat bolt face ones instead of the hex / Allen key ones. Cost is a couple dollars for the generic ones, IIRC. IMO, its best to trace back and remove the wires at the posts. Black Grounded and the Red on the solenoid post. That same post also has a blue wire on it. Make sure to keep that one attached / reattached. With all the OEM stuff I remove I label and bag it up just in case.

If you want to order online: http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...PROD&ProdID=48

Instructions are there as well.

Re: AIH DELETE

What's the purpose of deleting it? I see alot of people talk about it but don't understand its purpose to have or not.

Thanks
