Wast Gate Tuning

I have an adjustable waste gate installed on my truck at the stock 2" mark for those who don't have gauges. I'm making 22lbs right now.

I think the fuel cut-off is 25lbs if I can remember right.
I wanna try to adjust it down in gap space and compress the spring for more boost. I'm just wondering if anyone runs one like this and what boost they are seeing from certain spring gap settings.

I have a boost fooler plug in for when or if I'll hit 25lbs and above so I'm not worried there. I am concerned about how much boost my truck will handle. I don't have head studs and as far as I know stock style trans.

I would appreciate any tips or help with this before I start to tinker and go too high and hurt something.

Re: Wast Gate Tuning

Why would I do that? It's good to have a waste gate for protection of components. I can't wire this one.

Re: Wast Gate Tuning

You will be fine up to 28 or so then the turbo is out of it's map and just starts moving hot air. 28 without studs is fine.

Which adjustable wastegate do you have?

2006 F350 Lariat Tow Boss W/training wheels.

SCT W/GH's tunes, ARP's, Blk & Heads milled, Strictly RR and aux coolant lines, 6" Aussies, Snow MPG-Max, BPD: VK688,EGR, W/Pump, and FICM, Coolant filt, Train Horns, CTS (Monitor only) + Autometer backups

I personaly think their spring is to weak to achieve 32-35psi of boost. Its basicaly the last step you can do,next to wiring the gate shut and still get minimum movement.Works out good for me.

Re: Wast Gate Tuning

Why with stock injectors would you ever want the wastegate to open?
