Re: turbo rebuild?

Bean's sell them. I've bought 3 from them, all have been easy as pie to install. In fact I'm going to be rebuilding a stock early 99 turbo this weekend with a new compressor wheel and rebuild kit.

$125 from Bean's site, and it ships right out.

Re: turbo rebuild?

Umm like an hour for your first time. It's only a hand full of parts and it's nearly impossible to mess it up. No written instructions needed. 2 bearings, 2 little clips, a thrust washer, an o-ring.... it's very easy.

Re: turbo rebuild?

I rebuilt mine as well.I was not paying attention when putting it back together and broke by backing plate. So the key is don't force it.If it doesn't want to go together look it over instead of forcing it.I was in a hurry though cause it was cold out.
