I keep seeing posts about fast injectors
who makes them how much etc..?
what are fast injectors anyway?
seems like I saw one post and said they had 2.5 pw,

"Fast injectors" are characterized by thier ability to have a "high" rate of fuel delivery. As in they deliver more CCs of fuel in the same PW window at the same ICP.

Read this thread I started a while ago: Fast Injector Thread

While everyone has different variants I know that Full Force, Unlimited, and Swamps can all sell you injectors that fit the bill of goods.

Re: who has/sells fast injectors ?

I remember that thread..
kinda lost my attention after page 3 ish and was about a 455cc injector .

guess my q should be is there a smaller fast injector
or is there even a need for such an animal.

I am assuming that while the injectors at a smaller size
can hit the desired pw,

can the same idea be used to make say a 238~250 cc injector even faster?

ie is there such a thing as a fast mini-me injector etc (sorry dave)
kinda like calling all copiers zerox machines but you get the idea.

There's not a whole lot to gain with fast injectors untill you go bigger than a 200% nozzle. In the next year there will be some better injectors to come out that will give more performance with smaller nozzles.

The data was from a 455cc injector - post #1 talks about applying those mods to a smaller injector - in fact there is even a graph of a "fast" 238cc injector.

Bottom line is - if you intend on running stockish RPMs and are emptying your injectors now - making them "fast" will not do a lot for you. Also to make them "fast" requires a larger than 200% tip at the moment. 200% used to be the about largest tip you could install and see any gains - now using various different internal mods fuel flow can be increase and a larger tip can be installed - like 300%, 400%, 500%, 600% etc.....

Now that being said - I have something in the works that will help further increase fuel delievery and be usable on smaller tips. But it falls under the "I'm paying for it - so it will take as long as it needs to" if someone would like it sooner than they can help pay for the R&D of these parts.

Wouldnt smaller 230-250cc but faster allow you to run higher rpm?

I don't know what you mean. cc is the capacity of the total stroke of the injector at 1000 shots. You can make a 455cc injector only put out 10cc.... it's called IDLE.

The size of the injector cc is meaningless unless it is smaller than the quantity of fuel needed for a specific HP level....

Re: who has/sells fast injectors ?

Sorry I wrote it out wrong.

What Im asking is if there is technology to make the injectors work faster does that mean that you can increase the usable rpm on the motor? to say like 4500 rpm?

I am using the assumption that the main limiting factor with the 7.3 is the current injection system being slow.

That is the theory - go read the first post in the thread I referenced above. That explains it in a bit more detail as far as functionality than I will go into here.

Re: who has/sells fast injectors ?

so is it possible with what we have now to take a DD truck with 230 hybrids and a 38r making say 425hp @ 3000 rpm pretty common setup. And change the injectors to "fast" 230cc injectors and fuel it to 4500rpm? I ask this because I'm going off the torque = 5252 x HP / rpm equation. more rpm = more HP right?
