100hp chip?

M neighbor bought a late 99 and it has an Extreme Performance chip in it. Guy he bought it from said it was 100 hp. It's the size of a pack of matches and splices into the airbox sensor?? I never seen this, what is the purpose? Does it make the truck think that it is subzero air temps going into the motor?

Re: 100hp chip?

I highly doubt its going to get anywere near 100 hp. Its probably just one of those cheap boxes like the ones that are on ebay all the time claiming all this b.s. that isnt true

Re: 100hp chip?

lol.... a customer brought one of those in for us to install on his Dodge last week, think its just a resistor inside that little box. I read the instructions and it said that it will take 30 miles of driving before you gain the extra power...WTF!!

Re: 100hp chip?

Guess it is like the 10K mod but not. People need to research before buying.

My neighbor bought one and put it on his gas truck? I laughed and asked what he paid for it. Then I said that will make a nice paper weight. It was the same thing, just spliced in under the hood. 3 wires 30+ Hp
