Engine Stack

Is it street legal to have the single stack coming out of the hood? also is there a certain name for this mod and how hard is it to DIY? Thanks guys and gals.

i believe to be street legal your exhaust has to be behind the cab but i could be wrong.

{95 F250 Powerstroke XLT} 5 spd, injectors by Farmers Diesel, tunes by tyrant diesel, AFE stage 2 intake, custom intercooler, 3" down pipe to custom 5in stack. EBPV break, custom electric fuel system, IDM mod by mattymx, CCV mod, D60 with F-Superduty springs, diprocol EGT, Boost and Fuel PSI guages.

its a hoodstack its not hard.ill post some old pics and take some of the new one today.

Some guys get away from running hood stacks on the street - being that your from Portland Indiana you might get away with it.... But no its not really legal if someone wants to push the matter.

I would not recommend installing a hood stack on your truck.

All depends on your area, Joebob is correct on the must exit behind the cab thing. In my town I could get away with one since the cops are so laid back. Now if I drive about 30 mins west over to the next town they would prob write me up.

I as well am interested. Thanks guys. I realize someone knows where portland is..lol PO DUNK. I dont believe it to be worth it seeing as how i am in and out of indy quite a bit.

I would be ashamed if I was an antique tractor collector in the midwest and I didn't know where Portland is.... easily one of the best Steam and Gas shows and swap meets in this region of the country.

here is the old one. will get pics of new one today. she got a lil hot on that pull lol. and i had used part of a stock sd down pipe for the up pipe.
