15* to 17* HPOP

Alright guys I have a few questions.
First off I have an early 99 and have found a guy with a 2000 hpop for $100, is this a good price?
Secondly is a 2000 a 17* hpop and will it just fit right in place of
my 15* hpop?
Finally the mileage is unknown, but the guy says the oil pressure was good, even though the engine had a miss in 2 cylinders (not sure if that matters). So how much would it cost to get the 17* pump rebuilt or modded if need be?

Re: 15* to 17* HPOP

reuse your old gasket or make sure the new one is 100% the same
ie no screen and did I mention 100% the same.

if not it will crack the front case of the motor....not good!

Thanks guys, it sounds like we may be acquiring the whole engine for some lumber.
Are there any timing issues I should be aware of in installation?

Not really. Don't try to be slick and leave the HPOP res on when you do the swap. Everytime I've tried it I ended up pullin it because I had to lever against the gear to torque it back down. And it's kinda a pain to work around anyway.

Great price, I'd do it.
Like , don't bother trying without the res out.
2 cylinders of miss won't be a hpop issue.
if you end up having issues with it, you may be better off buying another, but still worth a shot

By the way, forgot to mention, the IPR will need to be replaced with a 17* IPR as well.
