Weird idle after Edge Evo install

I put a Edge Evo with the monitor on my dads early 99 yesterday. Now it has like a lope idle for a few seconds and then clears up. It does it at start up, after revving the motor, and when you push the clutch in coming to a stop. Is this normal for the Edge? I'm only used to running a DP Tuner.

Re: Weird idle after Edge Evo install

if it has the 'romps', it sounds like an icp setting glitch as it affects your truck. Does it do it with hot and/or cold oil? Have you unloaded it and reloaded it? Does it do it in all of the tunes, even stock? My obs ran fine on it, but it definitely liked the extreme file better than the race file.

These are just canned tunes and very outdated ones at that.

Re: Weird idle after Edge Evo install

It does it hot or cold and in any setting besides stock.

Noticed another problem today. When you are going say 30 in 3rd gear for ex. (stick BTW). It feels like it bogs down, almost like it misses, blows a ton of smoke, for a second then clears up and goes. Kinda sounds like it's getting to much fuel. Or is it not getting enough air? It still has the stock air intake at moment.

Re: Weird idle after Edge Evo install

Ok just went and put it back to stock. It DOES do idle deal on stock. Did the programmer mess something up? It has never acted like this before.

Re: Weird idle after Edge Evo install

If you can tell me what the PCM code is for your truck(s) I can check the calibrations and see if there is, in fact, any problem that might be related to the calibration. If there is a problem, we can make sure it gets fixed for you.

Let me know.

Re: Weird idle after Edge Evo install

The code that the monitor shows or the one on the PCM?
