FueLab vs A1000 Sound

FueLab is a HELL of a lot louder.

Both set at 70 psi. Same regulator, same entire fuel system from pickup tube to fittings in the heads. Same exact wiring w/ relay and fuse and wire gauge.

I've never seen an A1000 that quiet.

My A1000 is pretty quiet too and it seems to be holding up just fine. Mine pump is 2 years old and it only drops a few psi at WOT.

Re: FueLab vs A1000 Sound

70 psi sounds aweful high to me, have you tried backing the pressure down and see what the sound does? I ran mine at 60 psi. with taht being said, when i first turn my key on i can hear the pump start but once the truck is running i cannot hear the pump inside the cab or while standing outside of it.

edit- video just loaded and i watched it, id send that clip in to fuel lab and let them hear that. your pump is WAY louder than the ones ive heard, might be a problem with it.

Re: FueLab vs A1000 Sound

I have heard two fuelab. One of them is mine, which is on the video. They both sound the same. Similar to some videos that were posted not long ago. I have been told that the A1000 is way louder. But, from what I have heard, it's the other way around. It doesn't bother me. It's just what I have noticed from personal experience.

Re: FueLab vs A1000 Sound

The A-1000 on Johns truck sounds the same as mine. Also, I've heard 3 different FueLab pumps with two being on the same truck and they've all sounded the same. In fact, the FueLab video's that have been posted recently sound exactly like that one.

Both the FueLab and A1000 we have been messing with pressures with... so far we've been bouncing around 65-70.

Re: FueLab vs A1000 Sound

Videos of different pumps would be appreciated. It would give us all an understanding of what thedifferent pumps sound like. I have noticed that changing the fuel pressure changes the pitch of the pump, but not the volume(loudness).

Re: FueLab vs A1000 Sound

check that, mine was set at half speed unless the hobbs switch kicked it to full speed. I never ran mine at full speed w/o the truck running/ hauling ass, i couldnt hear anything but the turbos anyway lol
