Cams

does anyone know where i can find aftermarket camshafts? I have a buddy that has a 7.3 and the lope sound it makes is beautiful but i can find camshafts anywhere or how to get that real lope sound. any help is appreciated.

you can get the loap real easy with tuneing. dont wast your time trying to get it with a cam.......

There are only a few out there running aftermarket cams I think, it's not too common of an upgrade for our engines.

I'd be willing to bet that the lope sound that you're trying to achieve can be done through computer tuning. A custom tuned chip for your truck will be largely beneficial, and the tuner who tunes the chip could make a program that gives you that nice lope sound you're after.

Swapping a camshaft in these engines is a big job, and usually only done in highly modified, custom, race/ pulling tucks.

You sure its just not a chip? Many people that have lopes have them burned into there chips like mine.

call one of the sponsors that offers tuning and ask for a lope tune. btw it will get annoying quick.........i have one and regret it now.

What type of tuner or program do you all recommend? I currently have a Diablosport Predator programmer but it is not very customizable. Thank you guys.

Swamp's Diesel Performance for me. You could say she runs ok...
