FPR Springs / Shims

Just got an FPR housing from diesel o-rings. It came with three different springs.

58-61 psi silver spring (Stock pressure)
62-65 psi gold spring
67-70 psi black spring

what are potential hazards of using the gold or black spring? Can these higher pressures hurt injector O-rings or anything of that nature?

heres a link the housing if needed.

I just did the fuel crossover. Everywhere I read, everyone went with the gold. People reported that the black was too much.

My setup came with a paper that recommended the gold one.

Run the gold spring. About 65 is where you need to be. Running the other springs isn't going to really hurt anything but honestly you don't need them.

Re: FPR Springs / Shims

Did you take turbo/pedestal off to do the fuel crossover. Was poking around in there the other day and man I can not see a way to do the replacement with out removing the turbo at least, especially the back driver side plug.

any good news to report after doing the upgrade.. less noise in engine, more pep etc..

I have oil cross over and new lines to do along with turbo and ped re-oringing , ebpv rebuild, plus a 4" exhaust to all all at the same time. Plus i got AN fitting to replace metal lines from fuel filter to head which increased size and eliminate the check valves. Using AN -6 with 3/8 SS lines..

too much to do and too little time..
