Has anyone just installed a billet torque converter and John Woods valve body and nothing else. How long has it last with performance mods and what power is it holding at. I might do these before breaking the bank on a full billet internal tranny.
I'll be the first to say that I'm very impressed with John Wood Trans. I have the tow master and it has the valve body,shift kit and a bigger torque converter and I've done a lot of high out put mods and I pull a heavy 5 th wheel on long halls so go for it
I want to get to 450rwhp with out having to fully rebuild the tranny. So I was thinking of getting the JW valve body with a suncoast billet torque converter with a 6.0 trans cooler. Hopefully this buy me time so I can save up for the billet goodies to rebuild at a later date.
