Obs 7.3 with air dog 2

I have an air dog 2 I want to put on an obs 7.3 I seen a post on here with a guy who used a 4 port distribution block going to each corner port of the motor. if someone could give me a parts list and step by step, possibly some pictures of how this was done it would be greatly appreciated

I am new to this forum but have read many posts on here, great forum

Re: Obs 7.3 with air dog 2

can the pump reliably deliver 60+ psi?
can you move the regulator to a position after the motor is fed?
the airdog serves no purpose on the ford fuel system

Re: Obs 7.3 with air dog 2

Correct me if I'm wrong the pump has regulator attached to it right?
I have no clue I've never seen one but from what mj said I will assume it is if that is the case could you use the pump still yes I would think that you could open the regulator that's attached to the pump wide open then still add a regulator on the return cost more money and makes no since but I balive it could be done like that. Rember I'm only assuming the regulator is attached to the pump.
I could be totally wrong I have no clue

Re: Obs 7.3 with air dog 2

Regulator is integral to pump. With a 7.3 application the regulator is just cranked wide open since its useless. Still need to have a regulator on the fuel return side of the Ford fuel system.

And if you want a fuel preperporator (Airdog's fancy word for a deaerator), you can build your own. Most guys don't bother.

Best thing is sell it to a Dodge guy and use a conventional setup for a 7.3. You probably would make money.

Re: Obs 7.3 with air dog 2

I use my airdog to feed my stock pump. It is there as a prepump filter and to remove air from the system. I believe there are two types of airdogs. There is the one that you can replace your stock pump and the one that I have which is to supplement the stock pump and I believes pumps at about 10 psi to the stock pump.

2002 f-350 PSD, 4x4, cc short bed, 6spd, ccv mod, airdog, AIS filter, isspro ev and scangauges, detroit TT, ITP boost annihalator, ITP RR, bellowed up-pipes, ats housing, turbomaster, 3.5 dp magnaflow, very happy with ultra smooth and linear PHP 50t, 80DD and "whisper" tunes.
