01 7.3 help

I just got my first truck this past week,an 01 ccsb 01 7.3 with 247,000 miles on it. So far the only thing that's done to it is a superchips cortex programmer. I usually keep it on the performance setting. From what I've been told that's around 80 horse and 100 lbs of torque upgrade. What would be some mods you guys would recommend for it? I'm 15 years old so I'd like to keep the budget around 1500 dollars for now. I'm not wanting it to pour black smoke or burn the tires off of it when you give it fuel. I live on a farm so it will be hooked to a load occasionally. I'm defiantly wanting to do a aftermarket exhaust on it. Thanks in advance.

Re: 01 7.3 help

As stated, gauges would be my first addition. Then intake and exhaust.

We can get you setup with a set of Autometer gauges, S&B intake, MBRP exhaust, and our F5 chip with a few tunes for less than your $1500 budget. If you are interested, contact me and I will get you going.
