Nitrous Question??

If I got this, would I be able to use it on my PSD with a little innovation? I seem to remember somewhere I saw that they used the wet nozzles as a two stage deal?

Re: Nitrous Question??

The Sniper kit has a fuel and nitrous solenoids. You would need a second nitous solenoid to make a 2 stage.

I used the 5.0 mustang dry setup because it uses 2 solenoids to start with and you only need 1 hose and another dry nozzle. The solenoids are small and only support like a .075 jet each (I think) though.... that should be plenty.

Re: Nitrous Question??

The reason I'm asking is because a guy offered to trade me that kit for my old tires. And I'm willing to do it if I could use it...

you could use it but you would need a second nitrous solenoid to make it into a 2 stage dry system. The fuel solenoid is made differently to hold lower pressures. So for less than another 100 dollars you could make it work.

I put my first stage off a micro switch on the fuel pedal that activates at WOT and then arms a second stage that kicks on at 30lbs of boost. That way you can control your nitrous off the line and then get the second stage kicking in once you are rolling.

Re: Nitrous Question??

That's what I was thinking. Thanks Matt! So I'd have to get a solenoid and a WOT switch and do some different wiring. Cool!

Yes.... I welded a bracked to my throttle pedal assembly for the microswitch.

Everything is armed with a master swicth and you have to be armed and at wot for stage 1 and armed, at wot, and 30lbs of boost for stage 2 to work.

Pretty easy to visualize using ladder logic.

Re: Nitrous Question??

No doubt. I've figured it a few times how I would run it. The 30psi switch wouldn't be bad, especially for consistency. But I might just run a trigger for until it hooks well.
