Is there something wrong with my turbo

I put on a 6637 mod the filter is crammed in pretty tight. When I'm making a long trip pulling a trailer the check engine light comes on if I pull over and idle and shut the truck off when I restart the check engine light is off. could the filter be sucking hot engine air a heating the turbo???

Re: Is there something wrong with my turbo

It shouldn't matter if the filter is sucking hot air. The turbo is already a lot hotter than the air it is pulling in. What kind of driving sets the check engine light? Is it hard acceleration or pulling hills? If you have access to a code reader, pull the codes and post them and we will be able to help you out

Are you tuned? I know under hard acceleration, my truck throws a light that usually means ICP. Before I had a fooler, it would throw an overboost code.

What did you do with air intake temp sensor when you put the 6637 on? That could be your code.
