Regulated return and remote IPR for the HPO system?

So I was thinking about the remote IPR setup on twin pumps, (and the stock pump now that I think about it) and how it is plumbed straight off the pumps.

Then I started thinking about how the flow through design of the regulated return on the fuel system works better than the stock setup.

Here is my question...

Would there be any benefit to removing/ blocking the IPR from the pump, Feeding the heads from the front ports w the stock feed lines, then using a return line from the back of each head to a block w 1 or 2 IPRs, then dumping back down the front cover to the crank case?

How would using a setup like this affect the pump/s and injectors?

Would this type of IPR return provide better flow and more consistent pressure to the HPO system?

I know that many times a HPOX line smooths the idle and balances the system. This would basically do the same thing by connecting both heads to the remote IPR block.

I would like to hear thoughts on this concept from others that have more knowledge on the HPOP system then I do.

Sounds like a good idea.

Let's see if Jason aka HotRodTractor sees this and what he thinks.

I'd ask the guys at Swamps to chime in, but all they can think about lately is CR.

How about Charles, or one of the others w a solid grasp on the subject.

Huh - sounds exactly like a part that I have had in my possession for some time - in fact its already went through a couple revisions fine tuning it. Several people have seen it at TS and at Unlimited's dyno day. I also have one sitting in the shop to install on another truck after I complete some other testing and modification to said truck.

I'll see if I can post up pictures. I know I have one installed of the prototype - and I can get one of the production part.

I like the idea. It would purge the air from the system quicker, and allow 2 IPRs as well as an external cooler to eliminate EOT issues that some have experienced while using modified/ twin pump setups.

Here is a pic of the prototype installed. The new ones are smaller and slightly different.
