Foil delete...wanna re-wrap it

Well, after doing mods to make the 7.3 noisier, I'm getting tired of it. With the delete pipe, foil mod, open intake, it's all a bit too much. And quite frankly, after dumping $4k into my audio system, I want it as quiet as possible inside. I have a top notch system and I'd like to enjoy it.
So, can I re-wrap my cac tube with 2" header wrap to quiet it down a little? Any harm in this?

2001 Excursion Limited, Swamps 175/146 singles, John Wood tranny, UltraLite Gauges, 4" turbo back, AFE stage 1, Dp tunes, 7" Superlift, Fox Shocks, Firestone Airbags, 35"Toyo M/t...blah,blah,blah

Not going to hurt a thing... I think changing the intake will yield the most results... Or some sound deadening... That will go a long way...

You could always go buy a Prius. JK. The noise can be a pain sometimes. I don't know how much the wrap will help, compared to the intake and exhaust but then you lose performance.

Wear long sleeve shirt that Header wrap will make you itch like a SOB.

Never did it for noise but I wrapped the CAC pipes. What a waste for what I was trying to attempt.

You want a quiet truck buy a 6.4

Header wrap is for heat, not noise. If you spent $4000 on a system, another $300 in dynamat is going to be no problem. Pm unbroken if you have questions. He said he put like 250 square feet of it in his truck

Already there my friend. All 4 doors, entire floor pan and rear barn doors have 2 layers of Raamat with 1/2" closed cell foam over that. I think maybe some of my leftover sound deadening may work better.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll send you a wrapped pipe for an unwrapped. You pay shipping both ways.

What about trying a 6637 filter instead of the AFE stage 1?
