ported compressor housings
i want to buy a 1.0 A/R Ported Compressor Housing as well as a new wheel to both lower EGT's and reduce surge on my stock turbo
my question is what is a good housing to buy?
i've looked at the ATS for around $425 and it has the 4" intake
or there are ones like this for a bit less

It got rid of my turbo surge when I put the ats housing on. Love it.

You only need the ported compressor housing, do not buy the compressor wheel also.
2001 F-350 CC Drw, GT-4294/1.01, 200cc splits, AFE stage 2, custom fuel system, Rickson 19.5's, many more mods.

The one you posted the link for,is the exhuast side.The ATS housing works good for me and gave it some more whistle and cured the surge.Plus you could always sell the housing when you upgrade turbos.

The ported housing will cure the surge. The wheel moves less air, doesn't completely eliminate surge.

haha my bad. i didn't even realize that the one in the link was the exhaust side.
so.. should i buy the ATS compressor housing or just start saving for a whole new turbo?

You could buy the housing then start saving for a new turbo,then sell the housing and get most of your money back or put it on another truck like i do.
