hot side map sensor

i was thinking the other day if you switched the map sensor pick up from the cold side of the intake to the hot side you might gain a little bottom end and throttle response. since the hot side is before the intercooler it builds more boost faster than the cold side so in theory the fuel would come on sooner than if it were on the cold side therefore build power faster not adding more just builds faster well i tryed it today and it works seems peppier on the takeoff and thoughts on this or is it in my head

Re: hot side map sensor

Your giving away my secrets! I did this on mine a couple years ago for the same reason. I still have the boost in the cold side, but the MAP in the hot side.

You don't have an intercooler so no. There was at one time a movement to reference the map in place of the EBPS but the maps were getting damaged from the exhaust soot. So that soon fell to the wayside.

Re: hot side map sensor

I heard of this mod a few months ago. CSIPSD did had a nice write up but never came back with any logs or data showing the gains.

I was right above you...

I was working on some data logging when I blew up... its been about 5 months now. Getting closer.

Maybe this mod was the one that pushed me over the 500hp limit and cracked the block...

I should have had my toons updates...
