Cheap/Free upgrades

Ok i bought my 97 7.3 250 just over three months ago, the warranty is now up i want to play, but.... i am on a very tight buget so i was wandering if there was any diy upgrades anyone knows of?

I'd also look at the classifieds here for some deals on performance parts. I have bought a few things from members and have had very good luck in getting some great deals.

First things i did was cust the cat and muffler out and strait pipe it. And today adding the 6637 napa filter upgrade. Like most people say on the board get a CPS to toss in the glove box. I thought it was a little funny untill mine started acting up the other day.

already have the straight exhaust, what is so diifferant about the napa filter to the stock one? i will also check out the site. keep the ideas coming

The Napa 6637 filter cleans better and you will need to get some extra stuff to make work.

Here is another free mod:
OBS Fuel Pressure Regulator Modification - Powerstroke Nation

96 Ford F-350 200 cc's, Electric fuel system, TS chip, 17 oil pump, Banks intercooler, 3" intake manifolds, SNOW Water-Meth system, South Bend DxD 3600, Banks brake, 4" stacks. Tuff country ladder bars.

ok i have done my research i am going to do the BB mod, the GEBPV mod, CCV mod, and IDM mod o and poss. the napa filter but i may fab up a CAI instead (also LF ideas on CAI fabs have a few in mind but like to outside ideas) i have all the info i need to do all but the IDM mod, anyone got detailed instructions with possibly pics( i like pics )? and once again keep the ideas coming.


i really want to do a SD intercooler, but will have to save up

Is yours an auto? Check out the COON TRANS MOD. You can find it in detail on one of the other sites. really firms up the shifts nicely. works great and will only cost u a couple quarts of fluid.
