looking to to do a diy intake need opinions
I want to do some sort of diy intake I have an 18yr olds budget,Im dumpin my POS superchip and most likely goin to a tsd custom tuned 6 position chip and need an intake, any suggestions and pics would be helpful

05 front 08 rear conversion
4in lift,forged rod motor,tunes by tsd,bts trans,6.0 transcooler,6 autometers to watch,studs,springs,push rods,238cc hybrids,itp reg return,stealth hpop,tsd custom fuel system and sump,an so on
6.0's pay the bills and 6.4's soon..

go to napa, get a tymar filter part #6637. Its a damn good filter!

Get that filter and a 4" clamp, and a small piece of 4" pipe. You have an entire intake that will filter way better than the stock POS.

does it matter if the pipe is pvc or metal and about how much is a napa filter

I used a piece of 4" exhaust pipe, I don't know if it really matters, I just know that the 4" exhaust pipe fit well.

I shoould be able to get a scrap piece of ss pipe from work,and where is the cheapest place to pick up a good filter for a good price,napa seems a bit pricey what about o'reilys or advance

fleetrite.com or something like that was 28 ish at one time.
my napa store was stupid high when i did mine...
don't go with pvc it ends up as a 3" pipe for some reason mine didn't flow enough air with pvc.. but 4" od pipe is fine
have a look at guzzles site plent of pics and lots of other things to tinker with as well.

Wix filters - oil filters, biodiesel filters, air filters, and fuel filters from FleetFilter! is where I order mine from. My next order I am going to get air filter, oil filter and fuel filter all in one shot. Save on shipping lmao.
