5" Exhaust...

Is there any reason to go with a 5" over a 4" exhaust system? Is there a point at which you start loosing torque because you are too free flowing? Im just exploring my options and haven't come up with much material for research.

Ohh, and it's for a stock truck with no plans to go with a bigger turbo/injectors.

The 5'' just has alittle deeper sound. The 4'' fits tight in some places in mine, i don't think i can get a 5'' in mine without doing some twikin.

Re: 5" Exhaust...

some guys on here will tell you around 550hp+ is when a 5inch will help with back pressures.

but your turbo set up will have quite a bit to do with how much pressure you make.

if you can get a 5inch for cheap enough get it. they look better and by far are not seen (uncommon in my area) as much as a 4inch.
