thruster 2 or 38r ?

Truck is an 01 350 cclb auto. I'm after towing performance, egt control and low rpm spool. I live at 8000+ ft elevation

^but it also takes a lot of abuse to kill it. Dynoproven has a brute 66 turbo which is basically a rebuild able 38r. Might want to check that out.

We've put 200k on the 38r and it's still running strong. Egts were lower by 200*. Pulls 36lbs. of boost.

Re: thruster 2 or 38r ?

What about spool time? Is it an improvement over stock with nothing else being changed?

Re: thruster 2 or 38r ?

38r is fine on a stock truck, and it is a ball bearing turbo, so yes, it spools instantly.
