high line pressure
my brother has a 01 f350 4x4
auto 62k miles and recently got a bean 6 position chip
so the problems that he is having are that his transmission is shifting wicked hard into torque convertor lock, 3rd gear, and 4th. and I'm not talking about a firm shift either. every single one of those will shake his truck, and that is light throttle or to the floor, we got the line pressure tested and it is 170 psi
while it is slamming into those gears. from my understanding is that to high of a line pressure can and will cause transmission damage. so calling beans back is turning into a nightmare the person that does there tuning is never in and we can never get a straight answer. one person told us that a shift kit will help, and another person said to leave it. so what do you guys think, we are not happy one bit with beans diesel. he is thinking getting it retuned by tw,dp,or gear head. will a shift kit help or is it in tuning.?
