fuel pressure gauge problem?

ok so I got a set of glow shift gauges and the fuel pressure sending unit went bad 4 times before I got so frustrated I decided it had to be because they are cheap gauges. So I spent the extra money and got speedhut gauges, and now my second sending unit from them is bad. I know they use high quality sending units. The gauge works fine for a few days then is starts reading higher then will just be pegged at 100 psi. I tried switching the fuel pressure sender with the boost sender and all that happened was it then messed up both senders. I talked to speedhut and they don't know whats going on and will not send me another sender. So before I spend the $60 on a new sender what in the world could be causing this?

Re: fuel pressure gauge problem?

My glow shift fuel gauge is doing the same thing. Works for about a week and then pegs at 100 psi. I'm on my 4th sending unit from them. All my other gauges work great.

Re: fuel pressure gauge problem?

Well I just got off the phone with my local issues dealer and they are saying that isspro doesn't use any better of a sending unit than speedhut. (Which is the gauges I have now) So idol I guess I'm going to rig up a mechanical gauge and see if something weird is going on with my fuel pressure because it might be over pressure causing them to fail.

Re: fuel pressure gauge problem?

If joe ..... aka csipsd.... is still on here he will say use isspro but would know.
you may try him on powerstroke army web site.

He runs 16-20 guages and can tell you all the ins and outs of been there done that...

Also try diesel manor. They have good install etc.
