Performance Upgrades?

So I have an Edge Evolution chip and I hate it! I also have a 4 inch straight pipe exhaust and a 5 inch tip. I don't like it either. I've got a K&N intake too I'm almost 100% positive I'm going to get the TS 6 Position chip with a 3 pillar gauge pod. And then I want a 5 inch straight pipe exhaust, with maybe a 7 inch tip. Any particular brand of exhaust to get? Should I stick with the K&N intake? Would the chip and exhaust do well together?

Re: Performance Upgrades?

You won't gain anything going to 5", outside of a little difference in sound. I had great luck with my 4" mbrp. I plan on going with a 4" diamond eye on my regular cab because I prefer the exit style mainly. 4" with a 5" square cut tip. I've always ran a muffler, don't care for the straight piped splatter sound. I'd ditch the k&n for a 6637 filter setup, and for a chip, whether you go ts 6 position, or hydra...I highly recommend Gearhead tunes.

Re: Performance Upgrades?

Don't buy the stock ts tunes. Get a ts 6 position chip from one of the reputable tuning companies or the hydra.
