Re: back slider-window rattle

r u sure it's not the cab vents / dome light / third brake light ?

I am not sure where the vibration would come from on the slider ?

i know the one cab vent i left for a while was a noisy SOB

Re: back slider-window rattle

oh no, i'm positive its the window. I can push on it and the rattle stops. this is the first sliding window I've ever had in a pickup. what a piece. to think that the last owner went to the dealership and had in installed,(not available till 04) pisses me off.

Re: back slider-window rattle

bummer it must be the center slider part ? do you use it ? I use mine daily
heck I spent 170.00 and had to pull the whole thing out to repair it

if u didn't use it I would try some shims to put pressure on the rattle area ?

Re: back slider-window rattle

yeah, it is the center piece. i did cram some black co-axe cable in there, helped a little. i was lookin to see what others have done to solve the rattling.

Re: back slider-window rattle

Not really a fix to the problem, but I have 2 12's and if I'm listening to it loudly I just crack the window open a bit. Plus I lost the weather striping and oddly enough that helped.

Early 99 4x4 Ext Cab Short Bed. Cosmetic Mods, Turbo Back Twin 6in Stacks. Bushwackers Cut-outs Fender Flares. BFG Baja Projects.
