what injectors work best with a 38r

so do standard 175 single shot or do 238/100 hybrids work better or
is there another set that will work better than those 2. i will be towing
a 10k fifth wheel trailer with this 1999.5 f250 4X4 auto. Trans has
been rebuilt to handle all the power i want. was looking to do this
this summer or is there a better turbo out there that can bolt on like
the 38r with low back pressure or a rebuildable one. also was going
to add the ww2 to it

Re: what injectors work best with a 38r

The 238's will maintain a higher ICP pressure than the 175's with a factory high pressure oil pump and correct tuning. The 238's will also make more power overall. If you are ever looking to make over 500hp, go with the 238's. You've got the air to support it. Matt can detune them and make it work with any scenario until you're ready to turn them up all the way. Only buy injectors once. They can be adjusted in tuning to make them run how you want. Chances are if you buy 175's now, you'll be wishing you had the 238's later. We have either option in stock depending on which route you choose. Re: what injectors work best with a 38r

I run 175/80's with mine. With a WW2 mine makes 35-36 psi in my higher hp tow tune and in my street performance tune. My trailer weighs out at about 10k lbs. I have all of the power that I want towing or empty. My end goal was the most power that I could get RELIABLY. I do have an Adrenaline HPOP just so you know. EGT's stay in check.
My truck is a daily driver and a few things went into my thinking when I decided on injectors. 1) PMR's, 2) making my stock tranny last (only have a valve body and 6.0 cooler and fresh fluid), 3) I do not want to exceed the stock fuel delivery system. An FRX was as far as I wanted to go.
The 175's met all of those needs and has done it in flying colors! Plus I know me...if I went with 238's....I'd eventually turn them up and end up breaking something. So I blocked myself from that too. Been there done that...and that gets expensive .

Re: what injectors work best with a 38r

so if I run those hybrid injectors what is better 80 or 100 for towing and what turbo is comparable to a 38r with back pressure and bolt in with the ww2.

Personally i would run 238/100 from rosewood; a 38r and 238/100 seem to be a good pair, there not to big for the 38r but they are really close.

Brute 66 from dynoproven is a rebuild able version of a 38r. If I had known about the brute when I bought my 38r I would have bought the brute.

Re: what injectors work best with a 38r

I have no problems runnin hybrids, a 238/80 from nate is a fine choice. The 80% nozzle is crisper imo than a 100% due to the 100% bein extrude honed. 450 horse is about the max hp level i'd run a 38r to which both the 238/80 and 175/80 are capable of making. I have a modded h2e set up for sale that will smoke the pants off a 38r if interested.

Re: what injectors work best with a 38r

Like Bruce said, the 80's are crisper and cleaner than the 100's. If I hadn't choice for towing I would go 238/80's. You may sacrifice a little power overall, but you will be happier in the end. We offer a super66 turbo that uses a larger turbine wheel and exhaust housing than stock to help lower the back pressure. It is also rebuildable. Let me know if we can help.
