Help with oil leak after injector install

I just installed new injectors. Once I got everything back together, and tried to start it backfired. I let it sit for a minute, then tried starting again. It cranked and I saw white smoke coming from the engine compartment which went away within a few minutes. It took about 5 times of cranking it over but it finally started up. Now I have a huge oil leak somewhere near the rear of the engine and can't seem to find it. Almost looks like its coming out of the exhaust downpipe where it joins the rest of the exhaust. I let it run for several minutes before I noticed the leak and it ran awesome..

Any ideas?

How long has it idled? You will get some oil out the exhaust for a few minutes/miles. And you will get some white smoke as well.

Re: Help with oil leak after injector install

Yup! My 95 was running oil out of the up-pipes. Sure sign of how bad my up-pipes were leaking!

Re: Help with oil leak after injector install

You will have some residual oil and fuel that leaked into the cyl when you pulled the injectors. Are you actually seeing an oil leak? If it's coming out of the downpipe I'd check your oil level, you may have cut an inj o-ring.

TAG II, Exhaust Air Guide, K&N FIPK, Hood insulation delete, foil delete, SX and A1000 pumps, door dinger delete, COMPOUND trans coolers and a Banks Stinger+++ with the Banks TransCommand and Chrome curb Feelers.

248.9HP 4ft/lbs @ 3,400 RPM (don't forget to divide by 1,002 and carry the 5).

Nothing worse than a good idea that doesn't work.
