Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

I am gonna ask a dumb ?, are they cheaper at IH than at BWD? (the uncoated ones)

Is the only IH place, "Braittan's", in Bend?

Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

The IH part # I have for the bellows up-pipe kit is 1843486C92. When I checked at my local IH dealer they wanted over $800 for it.
I told them I could order them from BWD for around $350 and they said that's what they would do.

Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

I think it's the up-pipes and the y-collector for the turbo and new bolts. IIRC BWD has the ceramic set for like $450.

Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

Joe, the whole thing comes as a kit. It's a pretty simple setup. And I also found that BWD sells them for much cheaper than I could get them at my local IH dealer. With shipping I came out $40 cheaper by ordering through BWD.

$319 at my local IH dealer with my pricing...probably about $340 for a normal counter sale.

Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

Ok, obviously the parts guy I talked to looked something up wrong. I gave him that part # so I don't know how he came up with something else but he must have. My local IH dealer doesn't seem to like selling powerstroke parts. They always complain how everything is different for Ford, even though I bring in the part #.

Re: Part number for IH up pipes???

IH first quoted me $389. I asked if he could do any better and he said $299 (that comes out to $323.66 with tax for me). I believe BW's shipped price for the uncoated is $323. I also think BW was doing a special on the ceramic coated for $400 plus shipping but not sure if it is still active.
