what injectors

My early 99 has developed a miss/rough idle. With 235,000 Im pretty sure it is due for a set of injectors. I will be towing around 10,000 lbs twice a month with it. I am looking for something that will work well with the stock turbo for now but is also cost effective. The trans is coming out to be rebuilt as well so money is kinda tight right now.

10/98 Early 99, Ex Cab, SB, F350, Swamps tuning, Swamps single shots, Zoodad mod, 4" Turbo back straight pipe, PI converter, TransGo shift kit, Red wasetgate line MIA, DIY BHAF, CCV mod, T/C lock up switch, 260,000+ miles and still goin strong...

Re: what injectors

You say you only tow with it twice a month...

other than that, is it your daily driver, or does it just sit until you need to hook up a trailer?

If you are only driving it twice a week (and towing) then I would just throw a set of stockers back in it...

If you are daily driving it, and wouldn't mind having your chip reprogrammed for single shot injectors...then I would recommend our 175/146 single shots. The 175/146's will increase your mileage ~2mpg over your factory split shots...but you'll have to have us, or David over at DI reprogram it.

If you have any questions, just give me a shout~

Dave

Re: what injectors

thanks, I was actually looking over on your site earlier and noticed those. It is a daily driver, 100 miles per day! Tow a 30ft enclosed race car trailer 2-3 times per month. Thanks for the help

If you have a SES light on...then yes...check your wiring.

If you don't have an SES light, then it's not wiring.

Re: what injectors

No SES light. when it is cold you really dont feel it, but as soon as the engine gets some temp it is really noticeable.

that's almost 'textbook' poppet valve (injector) wear.

Again...if you don't have any SES light...then your wiring and gaskets are fine.

take care~
