Question clamp on turbo/downpipe

i just replaced my oem exhaust with a 4'' turbo back. i was told not to tighten the clamp on the turbo/exhaust to tight. how tight do i need to get it without messing something up. the nut never seem " to get harder to tighten" but i there was more thread on the bolt showing than before. any insight?

Re: clamp on turbo/downpipe

If you're installing for the first time you need to tighten the downpipe first before you tighten the remaining exhaust lengths. I get mine pretty tight. I bet it is about 20-30 ft/lbs. You don't want to strip the bolt. Once it is tight then proceed down the length of the exhaust sections and tighten back towards the rear.

And don't worry about the T-bolt. You will pull the threads out of the nut before you hurt the bolt. Then you'll just need to dig out another one. Or order another T-bolt clamp and steal the nut if you don't have them laying around.
