Intercooler Pipe

I took the plunge and went with the Foil delete. Well after i got it off i found that at some point in the past the pipe had gotten over against the Power Steering pulley and now i have a small hole. Is it worthy of trying to fix or should i just buy a new IC pipe. Does anyone have one just laying around they dont need and want to get rid of. And how do you get that nasty glue off the pipe?

Re: Intercooler Pipe

Ray,

as for the hole I'm not sure,
as for the glue, I found the easiest way to get it off
was soak it with wd40 and use a scouring pad to remove the glue.

I'm guessing you're going to paint them, make sure you use hi-temp paint

good luck

Re: Intercooler Pipe

Just weld it up and away ya go. With a hole in it you were loosing boost pressure so you should see a boost in performance.
