Rebuild Kit

For Factory L/S - what all do I need?

I'm being asked if it's a 2 or 3 pinion set and I think it's a 3....


Any help/part number's???

You need to pull the diff cover and see which posi unit you have - the 3 pinion is a split case and the 2 pinion is a single case.

I thought the 2 pinion was from the 10.25 and the 3 pinion was the 10.5?

Yes, you can tighten up the factory posi and it works quite well after that. I built my 3 pinion unit with correctly ordered clutch/plates and shimmed it up quite a bit, then used less friction modifier than recommended.
