i got these gauges and am now installing them well got the exaust temp and the boost going now for the tranny temp guage, my instructions dont tell me where it goes or anything. the sender the guage came with looks like a O2 sensor in a way. it screwws into a hole somewhere. now where is the hole it goes into?

Re: where does the tranny temp sender unit go?

With your auto tranny check to see if your temp gauge is a single wire or dual wire sensor. If it's the single wire (short sweep) then you'll be fine with the sending unit supplied. If it's a dual wire (full sweep) gauge, then the sending unit is too long and will bottom out in the transmission. You'll need to buy a 1/8" male to 1/8" female extension to space the sending unit out. I just finished changing my gauges out to some autometer cobalts and had this same issue... the extension is about $2, the only thing I had to do in addition was drill the extension out a small amount so the sending unit probe would fit.

I have the full sweep Isspro trany gauge, and it fit just fine, no problems.
