Fumoto

I noticed the other day that the big truck service centers around here sell the Fumoto drain valves. None of the valves have a gasket to seal them to the drain pan. If i get ne , do I use the one on my drain plug or do i have to get a new one or is one not needed? Also,, any good or bad experiences with these valves? Thanx, Ted

Re: Fumoto

They will add 20 HP. Almost as much as a hood insulation delete and foil delete combined.

Re: Fumoto

They work nice. Only downside is that you loose the magnet which sometimes will alert you to a lost cooling jet.

Ya but that make magnetic mats that you can put on the OP in place of the DP Mag. I have not but do have a Fumoto and it's slow IMO. It does make oil changes a breeze though.

Re: Fumoto

We run the Unique Truck Equipment drain valves at work. Have around 4,000 of them, they work well and drain fairly fast. They are either O-ring or crush washer sealed to the pan and the cap to seal the valve is o-ringed, so even if the valve failed you would not loose any oil.

If it doesn't come with a gasket, just go to the parts store and get a copper or aluminum crush washer.
