boost gauge install question

how did u guys run the boost line up to the actual gauage guy that owned the truck before put alot of kinks in the line and now is not reading anything any ideas would be appreciated and what did u hook the line to? the map or did u drill and tap a fitting into the turbo housing right before it connects to the intercooler piping

2000 f-350 SRW CC, 6" lift 22" KMC wrapped in 37" Toyo's, S465, Swamps 275/226, Studs, Springs, Pushrods, Gen3, TS 6 pos chip with Swamps Tunes...

If you have an auto transmission there is a large plug where the clutch hydralic line would go through the firewall. If you have a manual there is a small plug on the firewall just to the right of the turbo as you look at it. Those are where I have run lines before.
I have connected to the AIH port and to the MAP line. Both work but it is nice to get rid of the AIH as it is restrictive.
