do I need a bigger hpop with stage 1's?

I have done lots of reading and it looks like with stage 2's I could benefit from a bigger hpop but I couldn't find a definent answer for stage 1's.I realize that stage 1 single shots ,which I bought ,require less oil then splits but will I be ok.I just want to get it all around before I get a chip burnt so I don't have to keep reburning it.I have an early 99 so of course,I have the smaller 15* pump with 265,000 miles on it.With my stock AB injectors and the edge evolution,it would fall flat on its face when it got to higher rpms so I know the pump was struggling.Just don't want it to do it as bad with the stage 1's single shots I got.

It won't be as bad as the AB's, but it's doubtful you'll reach "optimum" oil pressue with a 15 degree pump.

I'll let you decide what optimum oil pressure is, since that's always a debated subject.

Still, if I were you I'd go ahead and throw the injectors in.

You may look into the Adrenaline pump from Diesel Site, not a great big pump but bigger than stock 17 deg. and cheaper than one from ford, with the same warranty.......Just food for thought. Oh...Its only $469.00 .

Thats what I was thinking about .Thats why I asked.I'm still learning a lot but at least I am reading and actually learning.6 months ago I wouldn't even know what a hpop did. That adrenaline pump looks awesome but if I don't need it,then I won't waste my time.

I waa thinking the same thing,it wouldn't be as bad but I won't reach optimum oil pressure either. We'll have to see then if the quad sell this weekend and then I can get it before I get the injectors put in and tunes or not.

If you truck does what you said....it needs a new pump, and as said above the Adrenaline is cheaper than a new 1.

If I would have changed my top end oil,it would have held up better

Re: do I need a bigger hpop with stage 1's?

Well I got them in and yeh,I need a bigger hpop.It runs out once your getting on it good and throws a 1209 code which I guess means ICP malfunction.I am going to drop the tank and do that mod with the parts I got from David.Maybe I'm just mainly running out of fuel for all I know.I am gonna try to throw a helper pump in line before the fuel pump also and see if that helps for now.
